A message from the Headteacher, Staff and Governing Body.
Welcome to the St. Andrew’s CEVA Primary School website.
We hope that it will give you an insight into the life and work of the St. Andrew’s community. Our vision is to create a welcoming and ambitious school with a Christian ethos where everyone is respected and inspired to be successful.
Our motto is ‘to live and live splendidly’ and as a Church School, we want to enable every child to feel success, realise potential and become confident life long learners. First and foremost we are a family community, firmly believing that a child who is happy and secure in school is one who will thrive and learn and thereby achieve. Our curriculum has a local, national and international focus. As part of their studies, pupils investigate what is special about our town, Dorset and also explore what it means to be part of a multi-cultural modern British society.
We give our children the opportunity to experience and experiment, for this will give them the confidence and enthusiasm to embrace their future secondary education. We are proud that our school enjoys a reputation for a caring, happy environment. Our learning is active, relevant and challenging, it enables children to develop both academically and socially so that they can ‘live and live splendidly’ developing skills, knowledge and self-confidence that will continue to grow throughout their lives.
